Dirk Heidkämper to join the Supervisory Board

With effect from 01/10/2024, Dirk Heidkämper will become the fifth member of the Supervisory Board to strengthen the management of EUROPA-CENTER AG with his expertise from the banking and real estate sectors.

As a trained banker with a law degree, Heidkämper worked at various banks and in the real estate sector, including for Vereinsbank and Westbank in Hamburg. In 2000, he began his career at the B&L Group, focusing on finance, financing, legal matters, and human resources. After seven years, he moved to the company's management team, where his responsibilities included financing and liquidity management as well as acquisition and sales processes. From this position, the Hamburg native moved to Garbe Immobilien-Projekte GmbH on November 1, 2021, and became the sole authorized managing director. As such, he is responsible for finance/project financing, including legal matters and human resources. He operates from the Hamburg office.

Uwe Heinrich Suhr, founder and majority owner of the EUROPA-CENTER Group and member of the Supervisory Board, is confident that Dirk Heidkämper will make a valuable contribution to the group's continued development.

About Dirk Heidkämper

Dirk Heidkämper completed his law studies in Göttingen and Hamburg with his second state examination in Hamburg. He then worked for seven years in project finance at banks before joining B&L Immobilien AG. There, he gradually took over management positions and, starting in 2008, after the sale of the former DGAG to Pirelli Real Estate, rebuilt the B&L Group together with his managing partner. Heidkämper has been involved in social volunteer work and the Protestant Church for decades, among other things, singing in two choirs.

Dirk Heidkämper is married, the father of an adult daughter, and lives in Hamburg.
